Q. How much of my purchase is donated to charity?

A. We donate a majority of all profits to the charity of your choice. We have worked hard to find the lowest price from our suppliers, and keeping our overhead extremely low enables us to pass the savings on to you. The minimum donation will always be at least $6.00 per item (of course, this excludes items priced below $6.00) but there are many items that have much larger donation amounts! You will be sent a thank-you email detailing the donation amount that your order generated, so you can see the efficiency of our operation.

Q. How could my organization (church, charity, school, etc.) earn money thru LaurasStore.com?

 A. Easy! All you need to do is tell everyone you know about us! They would simply place an order at the site, then indicate your organizations name and location during checkout. Then you would get a majority of the profit from every order! Imagine if your organization sold 500 items and each item earned anywhere from a $6 to a $100+ donation! Feel free to get creative on how you spread the word…use church bulletins, school handouts, mailing lists, etc. You can also contact us if you would like to setup a formal fundraiser. We are here to help your organization earn money!

Q. Who makes up LaurasStore.com?

A. We are Laura and Steve Bailey, a husband and wife team. With it being just the two of us, you can rest assured that your order will be taken care of properly, and all donations will be forwarded quickly! We are here for you!!

Q. How much do You and Steve make on my purchase, and how are you able to give so much away to the charity I choose?

A. Thank you for that candid question, and I will reveal the financial part of the business to you....to show we are truly honest people who only desire to help! Our profit per item sold (after all expenses, paypal fees, website costs, etc.) averages about $1-2 dollars per item. By keeping our expenses low, it allows us to make large donations to the charity of your choice. In no way are we trying to scam our customers. We are simply offering our service so they can get items they desire, while allowing us to also give money away to worthy causes! We are happy taking a very small profit per item, because it gives us the opportunity to give more money away!

Q. How can I be sure that my money goes to the charity I have chosen?

A. As stated above, you will receive a thank-you email detailing the donation amount that your order generated. To reduce paperwork and increase efficiency, we combine all donations to each specific organization and make one combined donation every month. If you request, we can make an individual donation from your order and send you a copy of the check as proof. We need this request in writing, but would be happy to comply.

Q. Can I deduct the donation amount on my order on my income taxes?

A. Good Question! Similar to when you are buying Girl Scout Cookies or Candy Bars for schools, we are providing products in order to generate donations for worthy causes. We set out to provide a great value on products while being able to pass on as much as possible to churches, charities, and schools. Thus, you are not able to deduct the donation amount on your taxes.

Q. I'm not comfortable ordering online. Can I send my order to you by mail?

A. Yes! We know that the internet can be scary at times when it comes to the safety of your personal information. If you would like to place an order by mail, all you need to do is send us a message via the "contact us" link on the website. In the message, let us know the items you would like to buy, along with your email address. We will then send you an invoice by email that you can print out and simply put in the mail with your payment!

Q. Do you sell magazine subscriptions outside the US?

A. All magazine subscriptions currently offered on LaurasStore.com can be shipped to any address within the 50 United States. At this time, we are unable to send magazine subscriptions to APO/FPO addresses, U.S. protectorates, or other destinations outside the U.S.

Q. How do I find the magazine that I am looking for?

A. LaurasStore.com has a search box on every page of our website. In addition, we have all of our magazines categorized and the categories are listed on every page. If you cannot find a title you are looking for, please contact us and we will see if we can get it for you.

Q. Do you sell adult magazines?

A. NO. We have made the decision not to offer these types of magazines.

Q. What is the best way for me to renew my magazine subscription?

A. You can complete a renewal order on LaurasStore.com and we will add your new term to the end of your current subscription. (be sure and submit the exact address that you are presently using for the subscription, use the label if at all possible to prevent errors. In addition, we will email you a few months before your subscription expires so you can have the opportunity to renew without missing an issue! We will take care of it for you!

Q. When will I receive my first issue?

A. Usually, your first magazine will start arriving within six to ten weeks after we receive your order. Please be assured that these are standard lead times, although it can vary from publisher to publisher. Once you've placed an order, it takes one to two weeks for your subscription to be received and scheduled by the publisher. Your subscription is then added to the publisher's next production cycle and shipped via standard mail. For example, if your monthly subscription was ordered and received by the publisher in November, and the December issue has already shipped, your order may be added to the January mailing. The number of times your magazine subscription publishes each year will determine when you will receive your first issue. For example, the first issue of a weekly magazine should arrive within 4 to 6 weeks of your order. The first issue of a monthly magazine should arrive within 6 to 10 weeks. If you have not received your subscription within the expected time frame, please contact us. Rest assured, your subscription starts when you receive your first issue--not when you place your order. If you subscribed for 12 issues, you will receive all 12.
